The Handyman is responsible for performing a variety of general maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the clubhouse remains clean, safe, and functional. This includes minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and basic cleaning duties.

Key Responsibilities:

Facilities Maintenance

• Perform required maintenance and repairs of buildings, premises, installation and equipment as defined by the Management.
• Monitors systems, conducting and/or ordering test as and when required and ensure standards set are met.
• The handyman is responsible for general building maintenance including electrical, plumbing, fire safety systems, and HVAC basics.
• Maintains in serviceable conditions systems by executing daily, weekly and monthly checklists as per recommendations, investigating related issues; conducting tests; resolving problems.
• Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
• Follow up with contractors from start of job to completion.
• Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g. irrigation) and other tasks as assigned (painting, minor carpentry etc.).
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and expenditures
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations

Administration Tasks

• Executes scheduled works completing forms, reports, logs, and records on actions as per standard operating procedures and processes.
• Liaise with tenants regarding operational issues and provide timely feedback, either verbally or through any communication channel defined by the company (e.g. phone, WhatsApp, or reporting through supervisor).
• Responds to emergency call outs
• Perform basic electrical work such as replacing bulbs, switches, and outlets.
• Paint interior and exterior surfaces as needed.
• Operate cleaning equipment like pressure washers to clean outdoor areas and walkways.
• Assist in the setup or dismantling of furniture/equipment for events or daily activities.
• Maintain a clean and organized workshop or storage area.
• Provide feedback to the Operations Manager with respect to examining issues; identifying solutions; suggesting improved methods and techniques; recommending system improvements.
• Ensures service level agreements are being respected and feedback on same to the Operation Manager.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
• Maintains Management confidence by keeping information confidential.
• Promotes goodwill and a positive image of the Company.

Qualifications Skills and Experiences:

• National Certificate Level 3 / NTC 3 Electrical with or without NTC 3 Plumbing or equivalent.
• Familiarity with hand and power tools.
• Prior experience as Handyman is an advantage.
• Experience in air conditioning installation and maintenance and/or building maintenance will be an advantage.
• Good communication skills both in English and French (oral and written).
• Able to work under pressure, odd hours and meet deadlines.
• Organized, dynamic, self-motivated and good team player.
• Basic understanding of HVAC systems.
• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices.
• Manual dexterity and problem solving skills.
• Proactive, Dynamic, Focused and Result oriented.
